Chessboard Set Up

The board is composed of 64 boxes in a box set-up, 8 squares by 8 squares. Although fluctuations in chess, which require more pieces and a change in the board that is not the usual setting. The default on the chessboard chessboard has 8 of 8 places. Using a standard chessboard squares and set up the chess pieces is easy to do and understand.

The king and queen are the two central pawns in the structure. Everything elseorganized around them. If it is a view of the queen to queen of light, the dark queen dark place. Thus, both queens and two kings will stand on each other along the line. The queen moves forward, backward, sideways or diagonally as many squares as possible in a straight line. Yes, it must end if there is a pawn in their path. The king begins to color opponents. The King may move a piece of the field in every direction, moving in any colorselected.

Two Pieces bishop's your turn. They are on both sides of the king and queen. Bishops only move diagonally, never leave their own color. You can move back and forth, but only in a diagonal line.

The Knight pieces are in addition to two pieces of the bishop. They are the strangest people on the board. Rather than a straight line, traveling in the shape of "L". Two squares in one direction and a field in a 90 degree angle, making"L". You can go in any direction until you retain their shape. The other oddity of this piece is that there are other figures jump to land on the space. The knight is the only piece that attack an opponent's pawn, which is surrounded possible.

The tower is located on the outer edge of the chess set, which is located next to the knight. Rooks can only move side to side and back and forth. The piece completes the piece Rook Bishop doing what the bishop can not do.You can not attack the bishop, in a straight line, and the tower will not attack diagonally.

The farmer is the least part of the chess pieces. There are 8 pieces around the pedestrian, and can be found in the second row on each side. The farmers can only move forward in a straight line for a place other than at their first train. Only the first train can move two squares. But therein lies the problem. You can only attack one square diagonally. If there is a pawn of the farmer in front of himcan not move further. Farmers also the only piece that can be exchanged for each captured piece. The goal is to reach the farmers on the other side, and if so, can be mistaken for a chess piece more powerful.

As you can see, the establishment of the board is easy. The chess pieces are set in the same way every time. If you learn how to implement in practice, what are their roles in the bottom of the board, every time you play chess set repeatedly. So, the gameChess!

Aion Guide - The Fastest Way to Play

If you're new to Aion, I'm pretty sure that one of the first things you thought about was what would be the fastest way to finish your character progress. There are quite a few ways to improve your progress in this game, but one of the best shortcuts to the end game content is an Aion guide.

An Aion guide not only that will help you understand better what is the role of your toon in the fantasy universe of Atreia, but will also reveal the secrets of any zone, making the leveling more than a little bit smoother.

As I freshly started my assassin within the world of Aion, I've got an Aion guide myself. Therefore, here are a few aspects of the game this guide has helped me improve.

As you may know, the best way to level up in Aion is by questing. Simple grinding doesn't work because most of the mobs put up quite some resistance when engaged in combat and they just don't die in 2-3 hits. The Aion guide is a real walkthrough for most of the quests in the game and also combines them, creating an excellent questing path. This helps the player to manage each gameplay session and get the maximum of XP.

Crafting professions and gathering are another important aspect of the game. Leveling up the right professions for your character you will get access new equipment or buffs which will certainly improve your progress. This guide not helped me choose the best crafting professions for my toon, but also showed me what would be the best spec for leveling and what stigmas to use.

All in all, if not the fastest way to reach the end game, an Aion guide is surely an excellent shortcut to take for a fast and smooth progress.

Download Games Onto Your iPod

Games have come a long way from what they used to be before. Previously, in order to play a game, you needed a partner. Without a partner or a team, it was literally impossible to play any game. However, technology has made it possible for you to find virtual partners anywhere or even play games with fictitious characters. No more do you need to call your friends over and agree to a time with them to play a game. All you need to do is switch on your computer, activate your broadband connection, and download games to play them anytime and anywhere. Till recently, the only place where you could download games from the Internet was a computer or a laptop. However, new electronic products like the iPod or an iPhone have revolutionized the way of playing online games. Now, you can download games onto your iPod and carry them with you while on a trip or a vacation. Your favorite games are never away from you now.

The iPods today come with a lot of memory that has the ability to accommodate lots of games. However, you need to ensure that you download games from authentic Web sites to avoid harming your iPod or your computer. For example, torrent Web sites are a really bad place to download games of your choice. This is because all the files that you download from torrent Web sites are infected with worms, spyware, adware, or virus. This can cause your computer to hang or even breakdown and you may need to format it, thereby losing a lot of your vital information. Therefore, when you need to download games onto your iPod, look for Web sites that are reliable and have good customer reviews. You can search for these Web sites from various search engines such as Google or Yahoo. There are good Web sites that offer unlimited iPod downloads for an affordable charge. Once you find such a Web site and find the charge affordable, you can simply make the payment and download games of your choice onto your computer and later transfer them to the iPod.

These gaming Web sites are perfectly legal and regulated; therefore, you do not run into the risk of harming your computer or iPod. However, you can go a step further and read the Web site's guarantee statement, footnotes, and security policy to make sure of its authenticity. There are gaming Web sites that offer you technical support too, which is included in the charge that you pay to download games. Nowadays, people do not simply download games and play them at home. They want to keep themselves occupied even while traveling or on a vacation. Therefore, playing games of their choice on an iPod seems like a great option for all such people. This way, they can keep their mind relaxed and never feel bored even while they are alone. In today's world, the Internet has broadened its horizons and has managed to reach out to all types of people and their moods. How To Cope With Travel-Related Stress

For many individuals in the UK, an annual holiday is the highlight of the year. Whether it's a one week beachside break in the Canary Islands or a two-week skiing trip to Japan, holidays can take months of careful planning and preparation. But if you suffer from a fear of flying or the thought of world travel simply raises your stress levels through the roof, it's possible that your long-cherished trip could turn into a nightmare. So how exactly do you beat the perils of travel-related stress?

Essentially, much of the stress incurred by travelling has to do with simple worries, like missing your plane or forgetting vital documents, such as passports or travellers' cheques. This is easy to conquer if you take positive action. Ensure you arrive at the airport well before you're required to check-in, whether this means calling a taxi before you normally would or getting an earlier train. This way, you know for sure that there's no chance of you being late, even if trains get cancelled or there's traffic on the motorway.

Additionally, check you've got your travel documents before you leave home and keep them in a safe place where you'll be able to keep track of them - for instance, a bum bag or a neck purse worn across your body, rather than a pocket which they might fall out of or be stolen. Once you're at the airport, keep yourself busy: take an engrossing book with you, wander around the duty-free shops or engage your mind by working through a book of crosswords or sudoku puzzles. You'll find that this will help you take your mind off any travel-related worries.

Many experts on stress also suggest altering your diet slightly the day before you fly and while you're on your flight. On the day prior to flying, avoid eating rich or fatty foods, and try not to drink too much tea, coffee or alcohol - after all, there's nothing worse than being hung-over when you're fifty thousand feet high in the air!

Choosing a comprehensive travel insurance policy can also help you feel more at ease on your holiday, both when you're flying and during your trip itself. For instance, if you're anxious that your luggage might be mislaid or a delayed flight could result in you missing your connection, having the safety net of travel insurance ensures that you're well covered if these events do happen.

The majority of travel-related stress, however, can be beaten simply by remaining calm and composed. Make sure you keep your head above water when traveling and, if adverse events do occur, simply tackle them one step at a time. As a result, you'll find that your holiday will get off to a much more relaxing start - a trend that can only continue into your vacation.

Gaming Tips - YSmenu on the R4 - Or Clones

People pretend to install YSmenu on the R4 cards for advantages below that YSmenu will bring them.

1. R4 firmware is too outdated. Recently, There are only a few groups that have started working on the r4 firmware, but r4 firmware still looks pale in comparison to the ysmenu firmware.
2. There is the native support of the EZ 3in1 (all current models) so that you don't need to use 3rd party loaders.
3. Ysmenu is actually updated every few weeks or so.
4. YSmenu can delete files, and you don't need to take your SD card out of your r4 and into your computer only to delete something.

However, you should keep in mind that there are still some r4 clones that ysmenu can not work on. The r4 clones that ysmenu can not work on are as follows:

1. R4 Neo.
2. R4 SDHC.
3. R4i Pro Gold.

So you must make sure that your R4 cards are not clone ones before you use YSmenu. Also there will be some problems. For example, if games start loading but then the loading bar freezes? In this case, what you only need is SD For matter Version 2.0.0.3, you can download it from here.

What's more, if you want to your games that take forever to load, you can fix this by downloading the latest infolib.dat file from here. Certain games take forever to load. Many people who don't like this way. They think R4YSAuto is easier. Admittedly, R4YSAuto is just a shortcut for driving. There are still some other people who hate r4 neo. Although r4 neo is very cheap, but it doesn't work well on dsi. To my surprise, most r4 users speak highly of r4 sdhc and r4i pro gold.

Stream Trout Fishing Secrets

Stream trout fishing can be a very exciting time, especially if you approach it with the tools to be successful. Even a well-stocked stream has areas where you will, and won't find fish. One of the most important trout fishing secrets to possess is the one that helps you find trout in any stream.

Any River, Any Time

Whenever you are planning to fish for trout in a stream, you have to know that these are creatures of habit. Once they have found a location in a stream that fits their needs for survival, they will call it home. This is true for any stream, and is important to know and understand. Of course, trout will travel upstream or downstream frequently, either looking for food, or fleeing a dangerous threat, but they will eventually return to their selected area. The key to making this trout fishing secret work for you is knowing which areas, in any stream, will be the most likely to harbor the fish. There are characteristics of these locations that can be found in common in any stream, and if you recognize them, you will be ahead of the competition already.

Basic Needs

Trout, like any other fish, have certain requirements to live. Besides the clear, cool water, they require food and oxygen. The oxygen filters through their gills, so sections of the stream that are well aerated suit them best. This type of situation is found below waterfalls, fast-moving sections over rocks, rushing water through a shallow area, or a back-flowing undercurrent that creates a whirling turmoil in the water. The basic need for food is the foundation for catching them, once you have found them. Using the type of bait that is part of their diet, or lures or flies that mimic those insects they are partial to is as important as any other factor. If you have found the right location, but don't offer them what they want, there aren't any trout fishing secrets that will make your luck very good.

Putting it All Together

Knowing what trout need to survive is like having all the pieces of a jigsaw puzzle spread out in front of you. Now all you need to do is fit the pieces together to complete the picture. Understanding the necessity for oxygen leads you to look in spots that have been filled with fresh air through actions such as those described above. However, one of the least-known of all trout fishing secrets is that you should not plan on finding the fish directly in those torrent areas, but rather close by, downstream. If you find a protected pool just below this area, this is a good place to start. Trout don't like to fight too much current for extended periods of time, but rather seek calmer waters where they can watch for food. Next, add the requirement of food and put another part of the puzzle together. A more well-known trout fishing secret is knowing what the fish are biting on at any given time. This will change with the time of day, and the season of the year. Climate changes and weather conditions are also variables to take into consideration.

A Completed Puzzle

Now you have all the individual pieces of the puzzle to finding trout in any stream. Trailer Awnings

Trailer awnings are usually stand alone type lightweight aluminum framed units, with fabric or canvas roof. The awning may be either fixed or retractable type. Properly designed mobile home awnings will stay taut and strong in all weather conditions. Supporting ribs provide extra strength to the structure and prevent the roof and sides from collecting water and sagging.

A trailer is a small motorized van, in which people can live and travel simultaneously. In the U.S., travel trailers have had a long and varied history that can be traced as far back as the 1920s. Those early trailers were little better than tin cans and were called exactly that. Trailers later became more comfortable and were called ?House Trailers?. During the 1950s and 1960s, the industry evolved into two separate industries, namely recreational vehicle industry and the mobile home industry.

Smaller sized trailers generally are less than 18? long and contain only basic amenities. By design, they are lightweight, weighing less than 3000 lbs and are easy to set up for camping or to prepare for travel. Due to their compact design and light weight, they are usually towed with a large car. Mid-range travel trailers are spacious and contain more amenities. They are 18? to 25? long, can weigh in excess of 5000 lbs, and generally have to be towed with powerful pick up truck or an SUV. Large sized travel trailers are designed for the seasonal or full-time user. These are between 25? and 40? long and contain all the comforts of a luxury condominium such as multiple TVs, washing machine, a dishwasher, refrigerators and air conditioners as well as an in house power generator.

When mobile home awnings act as canopies, they provide shade to a small porch, patio, or deck to enable people to enjoy the outdoors without the fear of sun burns. Some awnings even come with wiring fixed into the skeleton, so the travelers can connect the power supply and stay outside at night. Small and medium trailer owners may choose manually retractable mobile home awnings, while large trailer owners may find the deluxe motorized versions more suitable.

Druid Shapeshifting Forms - A Druid Shapeshifting Guide For World of Warcraft

One of my favorite aspects of the Druid class in World of Warcraft is the shapeshifting ability. And while you usually can't cast spells while in your shape-shifted form, you can break spells cast upon you by shape shifting. All those frost spells designed to slow you down will be easily foiled. Since each shape offers its own advantages, I thought it would be a good idea to provide a brief overview of what you can expect when you play a WoW Druid.

The Bear (level 10)
The bear is the first form that you get to learn as a Druid. You should be able to pick it up around level 10 as long as you take care of the quests needed to learn it. You'll start with the quest "Heeding the Call" and once you complete the set of quests required, just see the Druid Trainer about learning the spell for the Bear Form.

The Bear form is useful for tanking and you get an armor bonus while shapeshifted. At level 40, the Dire Bear Form gives even better bonuses to both armor and hit points.

Aquatic (level 16)
The Aquatic form that you can pick up at level 16 is basically a sea lion. Naturally, you can only shapeshift into the aquatic form while in the water. It increases your swim speed and allows you to breath underwater, so the Aquatic form will allow you to travel much faster.

Like the Bear form, you pick up Aquatic by first doing some quests. The first quest is "A Lesson to Learn" and you'll need to get to either Thunder Bluff or Darnassus before you can begin.

The Cat (level 20)
You can turn yourself into a cat at level 30 and pick up some nice Rogue-like abilities. The cat provides stealth ability and more damage dealing. You'll be able to cloak yourself and track humanoids, useful for PvP.

There are no quests required for Cat form. You can just buy the spell from a class trainer.

Travel Form (level 30)
Travel form is a faster cat, a cheetah specifically, and in this form you'll get a 40% increase in run speed outdoors and over land. The Travel form means your Druid will never need a mount and while you won't be able to fight while shapeshifted into the travel form, you can cast the spell in the middle of a fight and use it to escape very quickly.

You'll purchase the Travel form spell from a class trainer.

Moonkin and Tree of Life
The Moonkin and Tree of Life forms require additional points in Balance and Restoration talents, respectively. For Moonkin, you need 31 points in Balance talents and in return you'll get some great DPS abilities when you cast it. For Tree of Life, you need 41 points in Restoration and it will increase your healing ability while in this form.

Flight Form and Swift Flight Form
You'll pick up Flight form and Swift Flight at levels 68 and 70 respectively. These are the shapeshifting forms that make flying mounts completely unnecessary as you'll essentially be your own flying mount! Flight Form provides a 60% increase in movement speed, and Swift Flight form bumps that up to 280%. You gain the spells by completing quests and the forms can only be used in Outland.

Advantages of online poker sites

online poker sites offer many advantages for a poker player, we will discuss some of the biggest advantages in this article.

In my opinion the biggest advantage of online poker players the chance to play poker from the comfort of home. You can play online poker at all different times of day or night. Online poker gives you the ability to play different styles of play, both in money and tournaments. In a brick and mortar casino, it is usually aTournaments in progress and a couple of cash games. They are subject to tariffs and casino does not have many options for buying in quantity.

The online poker sites are also a good answer for many poker enthusiasts who live in states where gambling is illegal. Players can play online instead of traveling to a place and state that allows gambling.

Another advantage of online poker is no long queues and long waits to play. In a traditional casino, the lines are long to get a seatthe poker table. The result is a long waiting time and a waste of valuable time. You can also save time and cost of traveling to a casino. Online gaming is very little wait and spend time actually playing and not wait.

The U.S. poker sites are open 24x7. You can play a game whenever you want, no matter what time of day or night it is. You can not enjoy this advantage in a casino. Also, since you do not have to travel tobegan almost immediately after deciding on a game.

Most poker sites in the United States offer a range of discounts and bonuses for poker players. Most casinos do not meet the amount of money you deposit. However, many sites online that offer a percentage or the total amount of the deposit. You have but a little 'research to be able to find the best deal, there is often the output value of the time, more money to play on the site, the offers to makeBest bonus. Also, be sure to find sites that accept players from the country of residence. There are some poker sites that accept poker players of the United States, but many do.

Another advantage of services on Internet poker sites, is that there is no dealer. There are two advantages to this. One is that you're not at fault dealer concerns and secondly, they must not pay the merchant fees and tips.

1. A series of letters, arranged in rows and columns in a grid is printed on a sheet of paper. The array is usually square or rectangular, although other forms can sometimes occur theme puzzle as a Christmas present form used for a Christmas tree.

2. Hidden within the matrix are different words, each word in a straight line, but each timeOrientation (from left to right, from right to left, up, down or diagonally). Words can also overlap and intersect, and some letters are not really part of the arrangement of words, but are simply there for the most difficult task of the player.

3. The player, as the game's name suggests, is to try and find those words. Players should circle every word they see.

Of course you can buy books with preprinted word search puzzle. While some of These books are very good, of course, the downside is that you can choose, not what words should appear in the puzzle. Another idea is to use your computer - word search with FileMaker software, you can easily create your own puzzles - so you can choose, which is suitable for the age of your children (perhaps even choose the words you need to learn to specify the school) and tailors the puzzles (eg, avoiding heavy diagonal words, if the creationPuzzle for kids).

The missing piece

Have you ever tried to get a puzzle together, in the end, only to find that missing piece? Putting together the puzzle with anxiety, constantly checking the photos of your intended result, and a piece of the missing. Piece by piece you are working only to realize that something is missing - and only one piece. A piece of the puzzle missing, and that one piece makes a big difference because the puzzle is incomplete. The missing pieceThe changes not only the image but also the expected result. You look and look for that missing piece to your request completely fill the frustration in his puzzle.

If you find the piece - joy and a sense of accomplishment you feel. And if you do not find the missing piece - along with a sense of frustration and disappointment

Just like a puzzle, we spend much of our lives searching for the missing piece. Because of our desireto be whole and complete, we are looking for a missing piece of our lives, sometimes looking in the wrong place. We think that finding a mate and falls in love makes us complete. We think that the knowledge we will work with the eloquent title for the sound to complete us. We believe that wealth alone makes us completely. But in the end, what we find is that nothing outside of us make us complete. Everything comes through just the right piece to fill that emptiness inside.

L 'Outstanding in a puzzle is that nothing can fill this gap, the game only going to be done. No matter how hard you try, another piece of the power gap, it was not made to measure, does not fit. So the puzzle remains incomplete or looking to find the missing piece.

Search to find the missing piece. There is a missing piece in your life, the faith you come together account? You have a choiceSearch within found the missing piece, or continue to live with a void. No person or thing can fill that gap, if it should be - and if it fits - you know.

Rothenburg ob der Tauber - medieval charm in Modern Day

uneven cobblestones, stocky short, gates, at the age of half-timbered houses, and all contained in a thick stone wall impressive - it has just entered Rothenburg ob der Tauber. One of the most visited cities in Germany, Rothenburg oozes with medieval charm. And why not? Its history dates back to 970 AD, and the walls have seen their share of time.

In view of the Tauber, Rothenburg has survived centuries of wars and natural disasters, usingthe generous donations from all over the world. This is not surprising as the charming small town takes the visitor into another time, with a step in its doors. The old buildings stand as a witness of how life used to - small businesses that help in everyday life, but they are mixed together is ... which is not hard to imagine if the buildings are one can be connected to others. The city of folklore handed down from generation to generation and tells theMillions of tourists (pun intended, as stated in a moment) in these drinks sometimes amazing stories. The most famous legend is that the mayor Nusca.

Rothenburg suffered occupation during the Thirty Years War, despite strong opposition from its citizens. In an act of a joke, it was the occupying power, the general, that the city was saved from destruction, if anyone could drink, West Germany, Rothenburg a jug of wine on a train (which is a huge 3.25 liters! ). Mr.Nusca came to drink and put his skills (and liver, no doubt) to the test - and saved the city. As a tribute, houses Taverna councils' mechanical figures that act out the story to watch 11, 12, clock 01:00, 02:00, 09:00 and every day. Crowds gather in the courtyard to see an engine Nusca drink his city, rescue, and the surprise is going to look.

Another attractive sight in Rothenburg in the Church of St. James. Built in High Gothic style, its soaring, vaulted ceilingearly visitors feel small and insignificant - a perfect state for the service. The two towers inappropriate to maintain a history of their evil. Presumably designed two different men - the sample was on the south tower and his apprentice took the north. When construction is completed, the apprentice has established a streamlined and prominent tower. Full of anger and jealousy, the suicide committed by the master himself at the head of his backyard. Despitehigh ceilings and lethal towers, the attraction to St. James for many of his sanctuary. Legend has it that three drops of blood of Christ in a crystal, which now have been richly carved altar in the center of the Holy Blood captured.

Rothenburg is quaint, picturesque, and deserves all the puzzle - especially in winter. Despite the poor weather and cold temperatures, many brave the elements for a look at this delightful little town with a fishingSnow. The lights shone in their icy surfaces and is decorated all the way down to Christmas. Germany is famous for its "Christmas Market" (Christmas market) and Rothenburg rivals them all. In addition to the normal hot sausages, roasted chestnuts and mulled wine market offers a variety of Rothenburg's medieval-inspired crafts and jewelry, the perfect city personality.

Full of charm and charisma, promises Rothenburg ob der Tauber, aglorious medieval festival from the modern world, at any time of year.

Coping With Thanksgiving Travel Stress

Thanksgiving - a time for tributes, turkey, and, well... travel. Thanksgiving is America's busiest weekend for travel. It is, after all, a time of happy family reunions when people journey distances-long and short-to be with family and friends. But for parents travelling with young kids, the holiday spirit could be tinged with anxiety. Here are some tips to help you make your travel experience less stressful:

o Plan ahead: Travel plans can always go awry. And when you are travelling with a bunch of kids in tow, they most certainly will. You can avoid a lot of travel stress by planning each step of the journey in detail, beforehand.

o Beat the rush: Jammed highways, with traffic moving at snail's pace is often an unfortunate reality during the Thanksgiving weekend. However, since the rush starts only by Wednesday, you can beat it by starting out a day earlier, on Tuesday. Another alternative would be to take a train or plane to your destination, instead of driving.

o Take frequent breaks: If you expect your kids to sit straight through the ten-hour drive to grandma's without complaining, you are asking for trouble. Ensure that you plan sufficient stops on the way, for snacks and to let the kids use the bathroom, for instance.

o Keep them occupied: Kids will be kids. They are bound to get bored and weary. And they will react by throwing tantrums and being difficult. Your best bet is to keep them happy. Pack in a couple of toys, favorite books, and puzzles to help pass the time. Another way to keep them entertained is to engage in simple fun activities, like singing, reciting poems, or reading out the billboards on the way.

So much for history. What the day has come to mean for most of us is family gathering together over the traditional Thanksgiving dinner - turkey and all the trimmings. And that's the spirit you want to capture in your Thanksgiving photographs - the spirit of family and togetherness.

Save a list of Travel & More

Make a list of all the things that you may have to take them - not to save any item - you can always add or scratch - depending on the type of travel (air-car-bus, etc.) at the beginning of the week or so there before the scheduled date of departure and print a copy. It will be easier if you categorize concepts. For example ... Batch set "and a list of all the toiletries, clothing list, list of all the cameras list of requirements, camera, phone, and electronic devicestogether.

Don't forget to include items like the E-Z pass, change for tolls, credit cards; and, of course, those special items for each traveler be it child or senior citizen. About a week or so before the date of departure, print out a copy and as you begin to assemble items on the list, check them off. You'll find you will think of something else to include, so add it on. This will help eliminate finding out, after you're on the road five hours later that you thought of something and wondered if you packed it - and more than likely, forgot it.

Having saved the "Traveling List" on your computer ... it will be there for you to print out again, with additions and/or corrections, if necessary - a most helpful Cowzy Cue!

Additional Suggestions:

Some time before the trip, share the Traveling List with other members who will travel with you, especially children, adding to the List any item such individual will want or need to make his or her trip more pleasant and comfortable in turn, making it so for everyone else.

Along with the useful Traveling List ... a day or two ahead of the trip, lay out the clothing and/or items to be worn or used for each individual. This will eliminate the last minute rush of "what to wear" and "what to take." This way too, an item can be added to the List and won't be forgotten.

For long trips and overnight stays, be sure to take along items of interest to each individual for use at night at motels and/or hotels. For example, new DVDs or VCRs, coloring books, crossword puzzle books, knitting and/or crocheting supplies, if desired.

You might call ahead and ask of motel and/or hotel if DVD and/or VCR players are available. Also inquire if pets are allowed if traveling with you.

Some time before the trip, print out a set of address labels. These will be most useful and readily available for mailing of letters, postcards, pictures and/or souvenirs along the trip. A good supply of stamps will help also.

Take the time to "map out" your route, using an up-to-date Atlas. Also, ahead of the trip, make note of special features along the route worthy of sightseeing and/or a specific stop. Work any detours for such special places into the trip. (Most "items of interest" are usually at least a half hour off the main road).

States will provide, (most free of charge) brochures listing places to see with fees and charges.

5 Ways to Entertain in the Air

If you haven't flown before or you're an expert at flying, you may find that long airline trips can be quite boring if your airline has not sort of entertainment such as televisions, radios, etc. While some people can sleep on a plane and make time fly, others have trouble passing the time. This is why we've created some great ideas on how you can pass time while flying.

Call or research your airline

Before you hop on your plane, hop online and do your research on what kind of airplane you're flying. The newer the airplane, the more entertainment you'll have. Some airliners such as JetBlue have satellite radio, satellite TV, movies, and everything else under the sun while other airliners have nothing at all. It's important that you call up the airliners and ask what kind of entertainment they will have on board.

Bring a book or magazine

This one if the most obvious and if you don't like to read, then we suggest you skip over to the next entertainment step. Reading a topic on something you enjoy can really make the time fly by. Whether it's a magazine or a book, make sure that you bring something you know you'll enjoy reading. If you're going to be on a long flight, make sure you bring the proper amount of reading material. A ten page magazine for a five hour flight won't do.

Electronics are your best friend

IF you own any type of electronic like an iPod, laptop, DVD player, etc., make sure that you bring it. Airliners will allow you to use electronic equipment once you reach a certain altitude. The only times you can't use these items are when you're taking off and landing. When you do bring an electronic item, make sure that you bring plenty of battery power. Most airlines don't have outlets that you can plug your equipment into.

Plan for the kids

If you have kids, it's important that you have entertainment for them. Try and think of what they do at home to make the time fly and bring this onto the airplane. You have to remember that you'll be on a plane filled with other people trying to pass the time. A whining or loud kid will not make the other passengers happy. Books, toys, and food are always a kid's best friend.

Bring something simple

If you're afraid your entertainment pack is going to take up a lot of space, think of small things that will pass the time as well. A perfect example is a deck of cards. If you're traveling with a few buddies, you can play a small game of poker or you can play the games by yourself such solitaire. Other small items might include a little handheld casino player or even a crossword puzzle book.

When you're ready to travel, it's not that hard to think of entertainment ideas. With technology growing, you're going to be able to even surf the internet up in the air. Make sure you just look at your daily habits on what keeps you entertained. Take these hobbies and apply them to the air. If you can do these simple steps, the flight will go by in no time!

Phantasmat Game Review

Things are not what they seem in Phantasmat, the latest game from Codeminion. A car crash, a desperate girl, a mysterious old hotel and a submerged town set the scene in this thrilling adventure. Can you successfully escape this phantasmal town and get help or will you end up becoming part of the scenery? Use your hidden object and puzzle-solving skills to get to the bottom of a long-forgotten tragedy in this adventure game!

Phantasmat is the latest game from Codeminion, the developers of hit games such as Brunhilda and Saqqarah. Phantasmat is a worthy successor, containing the same strong adventure storyline and amazing graphics you would expect from a game with such a pedigree. This time, the story is set in a foreboding forest surrounding a cold and dark lake with a tragic history.

The game begins as you are driving along a deserted road during a heavy downpour. Suddenly, ghostly apparitions appear on your windshield, causing you to lose control of the car. One car crash later (depicted in awesome animated glory), you find yourself stranded at the bottom of a ravine in a foreboding forest. As you head to a nearby hotel to use the phone to call for help, you find that there's something really wrong with the place. A cemetery by the lake, a submerged town IN the lake, and the hotel with a name like Drowned Dead Hotel isn't very reassuring either.

The adventure begins in earnest as you try to figure out how to get out of this mess and get help for both yourself and a possibly-mad young lady who seems oh-so-friendly. The first thing you will notice is that the story really grabs you, and definitely takes center stage in this game. The original story (with a few cliches thrown in) has that sense of mystery and urgency that makes you want to find out more rightaway. You might have seen similar stories before, and might even be able to guess how this one ends, but it is so well-written that you are guaranteed to be thoroughly entertained as you experience this thrilling journey.

Unfortunately, a great story won't work if it is not well implemented in a game. Luckily, Phantasmat boasts an elegant interface and features artwork that is truly stunning. The high quality of the artwork is similar to some of the best games in the genre such as the Mystery Case Files games, successfully bringing to life the cold, wet and dark feel of the story. There is also a lot of animation in the game, making it feel more "real". Everything from the many story cutscenes to the ambient effects like water ripples and scurrying insects are all animated to make the game come alive. The moody music, creepy sound effects and good voice acting also contribute to making the game a great entertainment package.

However, no matter how good the story and art are, the gameplay is still important. (After all, this is an adventure game, not a cartoon video) Thankfully the gameplay doesn't disappoint. You experience the adventure via the standard main interface where you can see your immediate surroundings as well as any items you pick up during your travels. In each scene, you will be able to move to adjoining areas and will be able examine various items and areas more closely.

Examining things up close will launch either a puzzle or a hidden object scene with the purpose of either unlocking subsequent zones or obtaining an item needed to solve another puzzle. The hidden object scenes are beautifully drawn and feature items that are fairly difficult to spot. In keeping with the creepy spirit of the game, you are sometimes required to find items such as hands and dead birds! Another unique feature in Phantasmat is that you can choose to play a Match-3 game in order to find the hidden objects. Sometimes in a hidden object game, you can get tired of the constant hidden object scenes. This game has the perfect solution, and you can choose whether you want to find the hidden items via the traditional means or via a Match-3 game.

The puzzles are pretty entertaining too. There are many different types of puzzles, including combination puzzles and the classic puzzle where you need to obtain 4 gallons of water using only a 5-gallon and a 3-gallon bottle. There are also puzzles that involve entire zones, such as having to navigate through the maze-like forest. As with other adventure games, you will also find items or clues that will help you solve puzzles that you previously encountered, requiring you to travel back and forth between zones.

It may seem like high praise, but Phantasmat certainly looks like a great adventure game and a complete entertainment package. You will love it if you liked similar thriller adventure games such as Mystery Case Files: Dire Grove. The basic version of the game is not available yet, but you can get the Collector's Edition which includes exclusive extras such as a bonus adventure, replayable levels and more.

Rating: 5.0/5.0

What is Important to Pack When Going on Holiday?

Going on holiday. Unwinding. Recharging your batteries. Whatever you call it, it is most often the highlight of the year, and you will likely invest quite some time and thought into getting ready for it. One of the tedious and time consuming pre-holiday activities is packing. Some make check-lists, some leave it for the last minute; you might over pack or under pack. Let's look at a few categories of items you may want to keep room for in your suitcase.

Clothes and shoes. A good starting point in choosing the best outfits for your holiday is checking the weather. Look for the nearest city to your destination and check out the forecasts for the appropriate period of time. Another aspect to take into account is diversity: you want to have comfortable clothes for walks, various rides and the general unpredictable outdoor activities, at least one smart outfit for a restaurant or a party, and don't forget to pack a raincoat or umbrella - you don't want to have to spend half your holiday in some hotel room, after all.

Personals and cosmetics. In this department, the vast majority of accommodation facilities offer a satisfying level, in the form of various shapes of towels, bathrobes, slippers, sewing kits, shower gels and general bathroom paraphernalia, with the notable exception of toothpaste and toothbrush. As much as you may want to stay faithful to your favorite shampoo or cream, consider how much space they would take, not to mention the fact that it's not a bad thing to experiment every once in a while - who knows, you may discover some new favorite!

Books and games. Many people consider it a must to travel with some form of entertainment: a book, a portable audio device, crossword puzzles etc. While it is clearly a way to pass the time if getting to your destination takes a long time, don't forget that you are going on holiday. Why not try looking out the window instead, striking up a conversation with a fellow traveler, or even emptying out your mind and getting it ready to absorb the wonders that lie in wait?

Seasoned travelers will tell you that you should pack only the strictly necessary, because you will surely come back carrying twice as much in souvenirs, specific drink, cool accessories or clothing items. So let the culture and wonders of your chosen destination win you over, and leave your 'baggage' at home!

Cruisin 'in Baltimore

Baltimore has come a long way, baby. The capitol of Maryland used to be more renowned for its high crime rate than for its tourist offerings. But after years of cleaning up its image, this trendy city now boasts a wide range of activities to please all ages.

It's also become a popular embarkation port for an economical cruise, as I recently learned when we went on a seven-day cruise to the Bahamas from Baltimore. Although I booked our cruise directly through Carnival, you can often get last minute cruise deals online.

We went to Baltimore a day before our cruise to check out the sights and centered our activities near the Inner Harbor. Baltimore's National Aquarium, once considered the top aquarium in America, has lost some of its luster thanks to stiff competition from Atlanta's Georgia Aquarium and the Virginia Aquarium in Virginia Beach. And it's not cheap: Basic tickets (no IMAX or dolphin feedings) were $90 for our family of four.

If you do go, don't miss their breathtaking new exhibit, "Jellies Invasion: Oceans out of Balance," which features luminous jellyfish ranging in size from a dime to a dinner plate. It's hard to believe these amazing creatures have no brain, with the exception of the muffin-sized Upside-Down Jelly, which seems stuck in reverse at the bottom of the tank and clearly seems to be a few cards short of a full deck.

Another highlight is the "Wings in the Water" pool where you can watch a boogie-board sized turtle scarfing down lettuce, as well as sharks and sting rays (see if you can spot the one with the curly tail). Another highlight is the "Animal Planet Australia" exhibit, featuring caimans, parrots, and lizards lurking around a recreation of an Australian rain forest.

Afterward, step next door to catch some lunch and a little shopping at Power Plant Live, a shopping/restaurant housed in a converted power plant building. (Be sure to stop in the Barnes and Noble to see how they've converted the former smoke stacks into creative display areas.) Other attractions within a short walk from the Aquarium include the Port Discovery Children's Museum, the Maryland Science Center, the Sports Legends Museum, and of course, Camden Yards, home of the Baltimore Orioles.

But since I love travel deals, our two favorite sights in Baltimore were free or inexpensive. The first is Fort McHenry. It was here, during the War of 1812, that Francis Scott Key was inspired to write "The Star . Spangled Banner "After the strong against a British bombardment kept the Visitor's Center is a stirring 15-minute film about the battle when the film ends, the curtain opens and -. To the tune of" The Star Spangled Banner "- is get your first look at the stars and stripes flying over the fort. It 's a very emotional moment that makes us proud to be Americans.

The castle houses the same barracks includes shows how the fort was used during the War of 1812, civil war, andeven World War II. On weekend mornings during the summer you can see costumed re-enactors perform military drills and fife and drum concerts.

A must for the kids? The free Junior Ranger program. It offers a workbook full of puzzles, mazes, and scavenger hunt activities designed to teach kids about the fort while having fun. Kids who successfully complete the workbook get a Junior Ranger badge and official park pencil. Entrance to Fort McHenry is $7 for adults. Kids 15 and younger are free.

While the Baltimore Museum of Art is widely known for its excellent collection, we prefer the more family-friendly Walters Museum. It's a short cab ride ($7-$8) from the Aquarium, and it's free. They have a packed-to-the-gills collection of ancient Roman, Greek, Egyptian, Renaissance, and European art.

Plus, in what's undoubtedly the best program for kids I've ever seen in an art museum, they offer special carts on weekends where kids can borrow art books, pick up free art scavenger hunt cards...even borrow a quilt with pockets full of things to read, touch, and hunt for.

Where to stay, eat, and park:

The Holiday Inn Baltimore Inner Harbor-Downtown is a ten-minute walk from the National Aquarium and major shopping. As at all Holiday Inns, kids under 18 stay and eat free with a paying adult. Rooms range from $129-$189 for a double, while secure parking at the hotel is $19 per day. In addition to a full service restaurant, they have a snack shop in the lobby which sells breakfast sandwiches, pastries, coffee, and drinks.

If you visit Baltimore for the day, parking is available in a number of lots near the Aquarium. Only four blocks from the Aquarium, the Harborplace 55 Market parking lot offers a flat rate of $13 per day on weekends. If you're willing to walk a bit further, you can find parking for as little as $8 per day on weekends.

If you love good Italian food, be sure to check out the restaurants in Little Italy, a short cab ride from the Aquarium. Top-rated Aldo's Ristorante is a long-time Baltimore favorite known for impeccably top-notch ingredients. For died-in-the-wool Italian food gourmands, it's worth the steep bill (@$130 for two for dinner).

Long-term parking at the cruise port is $15 per day. Or, if you stay at the Holiday Inn Express Inner Harbor you can get a stay-cruise rate that includes free parking during your cruise and a free shuttle to the cruise dock.

Shadow of the Colossus Review

This is one of the games that is so rare and doesn't fit into any category, because the game is a category its self, this is an action game, adventure game, puzzle game, horror game all smashed into one.Shadows of the colossus sounds like a simple game, sure search for colossus and find its weakness, stab it.

This is not the whole story here folks. This game slowly reveals it self to be something with more complexity and mystery. Every journey you take to find each colossus makes you go through beautiful landscapes, that can feel dreamlike but yet it feel so real.

You will travel from a large cliff overlooking a river and from the river to a thick and lone forest, and then you might find your self in a desert. Since the environment is so big, you get to travel by horse, courtesy of aggro, the best animated animal in the game. Controlling the horse can be complex, and the artificial intelligence in the game is so developed that it keeps you from riding the gorse off a cliff. Through the game you will be armed with a sword and bow.

Each colossus you face, will require careful thinking, experimentation, trial and error because there are many ways to defeat them. You can tell the designers have a lot of imagination while creating this colossus. There are sixteen boss battles, but there is nothing like the rush you experience while discovering the keys to defeating these beasts. If you still own a PlayStation 2 and want to experience something challenging and beautiful then picking this game up is a must because games like this don't come to often.

How to Survive a Road Trip With Your Kids

Going on a road trip with your husband? Sounds like fun...but when you have a handful of kids at the back of the car too...well there must be about a million other things you'd rather do instead. Root canal anyone???

Friends, take comfort - it doesn't have to be so bad! With just a bit of advance planning even the longest journey's can become fun filled experiences for everyone - you included. So read on for some tips on how to survive (and even enjoy) a road trip with your kids!

1.Music - musical accompaniment is always successful. If. you kids have their own mp players they can choose their own music and go into their own world and enjoy themselves. If however, you have a communal car CD player, I recommend avoiding fights right at the beginning of the trip by choosing a method for deciding what music to play. Perhaps each person will have a turn choosing the CD (including parents), or you can use the "even handedness in randomness approach" by sticking your hand into the CD pile and pull one out without checking which CD it is. Boost Your Child's Brainpower with Sudoku

In less than a year the Sudoku bug has infected huge numbers of the UK population, and it is fast spreading across the world! Why has a simple logic puzzle become so popular, and how can your kids benefit?

Sudoku puzzles were first published in the US in the 1970s and are sometimes known as "Number Squares". They have been popular for many years in Japan, where the name "Sudoku" (meaning "single number") was coined. The current craze was started late in 2004 when a UK newspaper started publishing the puzzles. Within weeks the puzzles were picked up in other newspapers and Sudoku became the pastime of choice for commuters, parents - and even kids!

From a parent's point of view, Sudoku puzzles are perfect for long journeys, waiting rooms, and rainy afternoons. They are being found more and more in the classroom as teachers wake up to their benefits and use them as time-fillers for children who finish early, as whole class activity, or as "homework". Indeed, the UK government-produced Teachers magazine has recommended that Sudoku puzzles are used in the classroom as brain exercise!

As well as developing your child's logic and reasoning skills and concentration, Sudoku puzzles, if done at the right level, build your child's confidence. Children of all abilities enjoy the challenge of a Sudoku puzzle, if the puzzle is age-appropriate. Bear in mind that many of the puzzles published in newspapers are too difficult for younger children, so it is worth seeking out puzzles made especially for kids. Children as young as five years old can try the 4x4 grids, then build up to the 6x6 grids and finally the traditional 9x9 grid.

Why are Sudoku so appealing? Firstly, although Sudoku grids usually use numbers, your child does not need mathematical skills to solve the puzzles - only logic. Using logical reasoning appropriate to his/her age, your child decides how to place numbers into a Sudoku grid. There is only one correct answer for each puzzle, no guessing is necessary, and the rules are easy to learn. The more puzzles you do, the better you become. Each puzzle typically takes a child about 20-30 minutes to complete, and gives them a real sense of satisfaction when finished!

And that, really, is the secret of their popularity. You feel good when you finish one! And then you want to try another one, and another ....

Managing Long Haul Flights

One of the the very least relaxing features of international travel is actually a long time flight journey. Sitting for several hours in a cramped seat in a steel tube close to other people who smell funny is no one's idea of a refreshments. Though the advantages of lengthy haul trip tend to be good: deplaning in a truly exotic location so unique from exactly where you took off, the possibility to explore the world in a way which was unavailable to generations before.

There are a number of techniques that I've come across in my time, in particular on those terrible 12-hour flights between Los Angeles and Shanghai, for surviving the long haul.

Before boarding

Stand up. You are about to be sitting down in a forced position for the next 6-12 hours. No matter how poorly your feet hurt, always keep standing. Go walking around. Browse the magazines. Buy a book. Go to the powder room 6 times. Whatsoever it will take, just don't sit down.

Perform your exercises. I can't explain to you just how stretching prior to an extended haul flight has served me. Specifically, you will certainly desire to stretch your calves, feet and back to be sure they are good and loose prior to all that sitting.

Get bottled drinking water. No matter how much water is provided on the plane, it's not going to be sufficient. You will thank yourself for buying that big container of drinking water before you get on the plane (just make sure you do it right after the security checkpoint).

On board

Drink lots of water. I cannot stress this enough. You must drink lots of water. Planes are usually low on air and high on CO2 output. They offer canned, dry air and they are very, very dehydrating. Having lots of water may help you stay relaxed during the flight and minimize jetlag later on.

Get up frequently. I don't care if it inconveniences the guy sitting next to you, you have to get up and walk around on long haul flights. If you do not, you risk acquiring leg blood clots (known as deep-vein thrombosis), inflammation and cramps. I normally get up once per hour and walk up and down the aisles. Frequently, I will stand (for as long as the flight attendants let me) in the galley near the food service, or by the bathrooms. Usually, I spend time stretching my legs and circulating the plane in a slow walk.

Take entertainment. iPods, books, magazines, a newspaper, crossword puzzles. Yes, all of them. Eight hours inside a cramped tube is not really the time to give up on the entertainment factor.

Drink alcohol. Okay, almost every jetlag remedy internet site is actually going to inform you never to get this done, but I usually do and here's why. Alcohol relaxes my nerves and assists me relax into a good nap. It also helps me prevent feelings of claustrophobia, which usually are uncontrolled on airplanes. I am only taking 1 mini-bottle of red wine here - not really hitting the sauce big time. The last point you want is a long haul hangover.

But if your gifts are cheap, poor quality, then it would be a bad impression on customers. Even if your gift is attractive, low-quality means that it does not take much. In the same reason, a gift of good quality and attractive, if not a good graphic design.

The Sims 3 World Adventures expansion pack added onto the game in a way that has never been done yet. Sure there has been the ability to travel with The Sims 2 Vacation expansion pack but with World adventures, your Sims can travel to 3 different countries and perform various tasks, solve puzzles, find treasure, unlock new skills, find rare fish, insects and gems. But as with any Sims game, the World Adventures expansion also has its own share of glitches and bugs.

Here are some known World Adventures Bugs and Glitches:

- When saving the game you get an error "error 16" which will not allow you to save your game even with multiple attempts

- Sims that have once traveled can disappear as though they never existed

- The family tree will show up blank for some Sims and can be un-clickable altogether

- When placing a tent, if there is no room for it the tent will still be shown in the cursor's hand to be placed and the only way to get rid of it is to switch to map view and then return to your Sims' view

- Random cars are stuck parked in front of a Sims house even the active household you are playing and cannot be deleted

- After Sims return from traveling they no longer do things on their own such eat a meal, shower or go to work

Flux Family Secrets - The Ripple Effect Game Review

Flux Family Secrets: The Ripple Effect is a hidden object game that experiments a little with the genre. In this game, you will find hidden objects, puzzles, adventure and even a few history lessons! In Flux Family Secrets, you play the role of someone who does not know their past and are actively seeking it out. A mysterious family contacts you and sends you on an adventure of a lifetime. Using a time travel device, you get to go back in time and solve historical puzzles.

The story begins with the mysterious Flux family welcoming you into their home and presenting you with a few puzzles to prove your worth. You then discover that the family has a time travel device that they use to repair damage caused by time Ripples. You then get involved helping them realign history, going back in time and solving puzzles and obtaining artifacts in the various categories such as art, music and flight.

The gameplay in Flux Family Secrets is refreshing as well. Rather than searching each scene for a shopping list of hidden objects, everything you search for in this game has a purpose. You are required to find parts of items that have been broken up into a few pieces. Once the items are assembled, you will need to either place them back into the scene where they belong, or get them to interact with some other object in the scene to progress or activate a puzzle.

The puzzles in the game are plentiful and well spread-out throughout the game so that you don't get bored with constantly looking for hidden objects. The puzzles aren't too complex, but there are many of them and they are pretty well thought out. You get to solve cryptex puzzles, safe-cracking, arrangement puzzles and even a couple of arcade-style minigames.

When you get to the time travel bits of the game, you will find that the hidden objects and puzzles aren't very straight-forward at all. In every "category" that you go back to fix (such as Art or Music), you will be presented with 3 scenes featuring 3 masters in their craft. The objects and puzzles in the 3 scenes are interconnected. You will need to solve puzzles in one scene in order to unlock puzzles and objects in a different scene. This adds a new dimension to the game, requiring you to keep hopping between scenes.

The game also adds a nice "history lesson" angle that makes it educational as well. The game will give you a brief description of Da Vinci and the Mona Lisa when you encounter them in the Art scenario. Similarly, you will learn more about the origin of flight and the Wright brothers when you encounter that scene in the Flight scenario.

The graphics and music are above average in this game. The art style and soundtrack are different for each scene and reflect the styles prevalent in those historical periods. In all, Flux Family Secrets is a game that tries to blend in features from the hidden object, puzzle, adventure and mystery genres and succeeds at doing so.

Rating: 4.0/5.0
